Saimonjit Ink Roller

A couple days ago I made an ink tracing of myself.  I made it by getting special quality paper then cutting it into some body parts. After cutting them, I used PVA glue and glued them on another special quality paper and left them to dry for a couple days. After that, I took the results and put them on coloured paper. Then I put another layer of coloured paper onto the results and got an ink and rolled really hard. Then I repeated those steps on 4 coloured papers. The  best part in doing this was rolling because the final results turned really good.

Saimonjit Lizard

For Reading, I have read a popular story called Holes. The main character of the book is called Stanley. The story is about Stanley getting transferred to Camp Green Lake. Camp Green Lake used to be a fun, joyful place but years later, it turned into a dry, wasteland. Stanley’s routine everyday is to dig a hole at exactly five meters deep and five meters wide. There is also a creature in the story. The creature is a yellow spotted lizard. My job was to use the description from the story to make what I think the lizard looked like. The thing I like in the story is Stanley. Stanley seems like a nice kid and doesn’t bully or stuff.

Last Wednesday we went to to the Panmure Basin and walked there. We had lots of fun and we learned a lot of interesting things.  The most intreresting thing I learned at the walk was that when the basin was created, there was a taniwha who took it’s place as the guardian of the Panmure Basin. The part I enjoyed at the Panmure Basin was learning lots of new stuff.

Saimonjit Taniwha

Two days ago we went to walk at the Panmure Basin. It was a really fun walk. We got to see fishes jumping out of the water, a Tui singing, and a Heron stamding still. We also learned that  there was acutully  no human who built the Panmure Basin Bridge. It was acutully a volcanic eruption. In 2010, a volcano called Mt Wellington violently erupted, reaching the Basin’s waters and making a giant hole of water, then the eruption later damaged the crater replacing it to the Panmure Basin Bridge. Many years later, a Taniwha came under the bridge making itself the new guardian of the bridge. The name of the Taniwha was Moko- ika- hiku-waru. It had eight tails. I tried making the Taniwha, using a description that was given to me.

Saimonjit Poppy Vase

Two weeks ago I made a vase of Poppies to celebrate ANZAC day. I made the Poppies by getting an egg carton then cutting them in a perfect shape of a poppy. For the colourful backround, I got a piece of paper and used water colour paint to paint thee backround. To make the vase, I got some cardboard and used a template to trace the vase. After that, I coloured  the cardboard vase to green. The stem was made out of tin foil. And the black backround at the back was glued onto the whole thing. After I had done all of that, I used a hot glue gun to glue everything to the backround.

Saimonjit Anzac Day Photo

Today I have made a  picture on google draw about how people celebrate ANZAC Day. People celevrate  ANZAC Day by honouring all of the soldiers who have sacrficed theirselfs to save their  country. Honouring the people is a sign of trust.  We have to honour the people because they saved our lives in the war. If they didn’t  save us in the war, we would all be dead by now.

Saimonjit ANZAC Day Idioms

Last Week I have done my smart searching to find ANZAC Idioms. I found two Idioms that I liked and created a google draw about it. I also put a few pictures that looks like the meaning of the Idioms. The name of the two Idioms I choose was  Sleep Like a Poppy and As Red as a Poppy. I wrote the meaning of the two Idioms aswell.

Saimonjit WW1 Diary Entry

Location: The Battlefield of WW1

Date: June, 16 1917

Dear Diary,

If you’re reading this, my name is Micheal, I am an injured soldier that needs help immediately. Me and my mates have been fighting for over one year now. None of the enemies gave us mercy, so we had to keep on fighting. The fight was endless, we never even had to take a break, there were lots of guns and other weapons we used to defend ourselves.

Whoever is reading this, please share this with other people like your family, or relatives. I will now proceed to explain what had happened during WW1. I had served for millions of soldiers in the war, even my mates. Even though I had served in war, I had still lived a life an ordinary person would have lived.

My role in the army was to bring back  injured people to the nurse and take the person’s role and fight. The name of those two roles are combat medic, and combat replacement.

Sometimes when I was talking to my mates, this other soldier named Jerome slammed his foot on the table and shouted out loud: WE ARE THE SOLDIERS! WE NEVER GIVE UP! IF WE ARE LOST, WE SHALL CRY EACH OTHER’S NAMES AS LOUD AS WE CAN! WE SHALL FIGHT UNTIL WE DIE! MAKE OUR PARENTS PROUD,  MAKE THE GREATEST SACRIFICES YOU’VE MADE TO DIE PEACEFULLY!  Everyone would burst out with laughter and try doing what Jerome had said.  The day after that, we all survived. That  day we all learnt about how much we all care about each other, making it not sad to  leave each other.

By day one, I had got new friends and got used to getting forced to train.  After we survived, we all celebrated by hosting a party because none of us got killed and winning the war. After that, we all got split into groups and went to the airport to fly back to our usual countries. By the time I reunited with my family, they were very proud of me that they cried and hugged me tightly. Goodbye everyone, I hope you had a nice time listening to me explaining what it would feel like to be in the army.  Farewell

Sincerely, By Micheal

Saimonjit WW1 Animal Profile

This week I have made a animal profile about the animals who have served World War One. I did my smart searching  to find a animal that had served in World War One. I found many animals that had served in World War One. The animal I chose was a Horse. I also searched what was the most well-known horse that has served in World War One. The Horse I chose was a horse called Knight, he was well known because he had endured most of the pain that the soldiers have had. I have put a few facts about World War One and Knight.
